What is a guide here?

A task broken into numbered steps, with what you need before you start and what you will be able to do at the end stated up front. A cheat sheet is a page you jump into the middle of; a guide is one you follow in order.

Are the guides free?

Yes. Every guide is free to read in full, with no account required and no paywall.

What do the levels mean?

Beginner through to Expert, shown as filled pips as well as a label so the level still reads in a screenshot, on a printout, or to a colourblind reader. Filter by level to skip anything that assumes more than you have.

What does the time estimate mean?

The minutes on a card are the sum of that guide's steps, not a reading speed. A guide with no estimate sorts last rather than first — an unknown length is not a short one.

Can I link someone straight to one step?

Yes. Every step carries its own anchor, so a link can land on step four instead of the top of the page. Those anchors are minted once and never move, so a link you shared months ago still points at the same step.

How do I know a guide is current?

Each guide shows when its content was last revised. That date moves only when a person edits the material, so it never drifts just because the page was opened.
